Mar 07, 2026| The storage environment for a molding machine significantly impacts the equipment's performance and service life; therefore, during storage, one should prioritize selecting a location that is dry, clean, and well-ventilated. The equipment should be kept away from humid, high-temperature, or dusty environments, as airborne moisture can easily lead to rust and corrosion on the machine body, molds, and transmission components, while the ingress of excessive dust into the machine's interior can disrupt the proper functioning of mechanical parts and electrical systems. Ideally, the storage area should maintain a stable temperature and be shielded from prolonged direct sunlight to prevent surface aging, oil degradation, or damage to electrical components. Furthermore, the floor surface must be level and sturdy to prevent the equipment from deforming or tilting due to uneven load distribution over time.
For hydraulic molding machines and equipment equipped with electrical control systems, particular attention must be paid to moisture prevention and anti-static measures. Hydraulic systems should be protected from low-temperature environments to prevent changes in hydraulic fluid viscosity that could compromise performance; conversely, the interior of electrical control cabinets must be kept dry-potentially through the use of desiccants or moisture-proofing devices-to prevent wiring from becoming damp and short-circuiting. Additionally, during long-term storage, the exterior of the equipment should be covered with a dust cover to minimize the ingress of dust and debris. Regular inspections of the equipment's condition are also essential; when necessary, the machine should be powered up and run under no-load conditions to ensure that all components remain in good working order. A proper storage environment not only reduces the likelihood of equipment failure but also effectively extends the service life of the molding machine.
